About The Nolan Center

The James & Elsie Nolan Center in Wrangell, Alaska, brings a museum, visitor center, gift shop, movie theater and civic center under one roof. The City of Wrangell took on permanent stewardship after the center opened in July 2004. Its meeting rooms host conferences, workshops and events, and the civic center room is flexible enough for seated programs, catered receptions, business retreats, film screenings, dinners and community markets. A kitchen is available for catering, beverage service and concessions, and staff help with setup and coordination. The Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Wrangell Chamber of Commerce co-operate the visitor center. A monthly events schedule is posted, and the Wrangell Community Market recurs on a regular basis. Rated 4.7 from 18 Google reviews, 15 of them five stars.
