Lake Wimauma Convention Center

Lake Wimauma Convention and Retreat Center at 5408 Florida Highway 674 in Wimauma is a ministry of the Church of God Florida State Offices. The grounds were chosen in 1913 as the permanent campgrounds for the Church of God, and the first Camp Meeting was held there in 1914. A fully enclosed, air-conditioned structure was later built for the gathering. Today the center hosts Camp Meeting, summer youth camps, retreats and other events, with event planning, coordination and catering services. The property also holds an RV park, memorial gardens and cottages for rent and for sale in a 55+ leisure community, and an event calendar is posted.
