Michiana Event Center (MEC)

Michiana Event Center, known as the MEC, sits about half a mile south of downtown Shipshewana, Indiana, on Farver Street. The trade show building offers 100,000 square feet, with 250 by 400 feet laid out for trade shows. It is joined to the climate-controlled coliseum and the stall barn, which have 150 removable stalls for equine events, so exhibitors and visitors move between buildings without going outside. The coliseum seats up to 5,500 guests for concerts. The trade show hall has hosted RV expos and antique auctions, and the venue also stages rodeos, craft fairs and Christmas bazaars. Banquet halls and meeting rooms take groups from 30 to 3,000 guests, with in-house catering.
