About Community Choice Convention Center

Community Choice Convention Center is one of the three facilities of the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines, next to the EMC Expo Center and Casey's Center. Built in 1955 as an auditorium and later repurposed, it has 29 meeting rooms, the state's largest ballroom at 28,730 square feet, and Memorial Hall, a tribute to Iowa's military past, present and future. The complex is suited to conventions, meetings, tradeshows and social events, and a 330-room Hilton Des Moines Downtown is attached. Onsite parking sits by Memorial Hall. A facility brochure with floor plans and capacities can be viewed, and an upcoming events list is posted. In-house catering is provided by OVG Hospitality. The airport is about 10 minutes away.
