About Kansas City Convention Center

Bartle Hall anchors the Kansas City Convention Center with 388,800 square feet of column-free exhibit space on one floor, an exhibition hall the size of eight football fields divided into Halls A through E. Three truck docks and 29 trailer bays serve the hall. Level 2 of Bartle Hall adds more than 62,000 square feet of meeting space across 26 rooms, and the complex counts 48 meeting rooms in all. The Conference Center holds the 40,500-square-foot Kay Barnes Grand Ballroom, expandable to 46,400 square feet for events of up to 4,000 people. Municipal Auditorium contributes an arena that seats 10,700, a 2,400-seat fine arts theater and The LEX, a lower exhibition hall of 46,000 square feet on two levels. Skywalks and underground walkways connect the buildings to major downtown hotels and to 1,000 underground parking spaces, and an outdoor festival plaza completes the complex, which covers more than 800,000 square feet. Planners can draw on venue diagrams, CAD drawings, a client resource guide and lists of exclusive and preferred service providers, and an events calendar shows what is coming up.
