Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center

Dennis A. Wicker Civic & Conference Center, at 1801 Nash St. in Sanford, North Carolina, opened in 1991 and was named for Dennis A. Wicker in 1995 by the Central Carolina Community College Board of Trustees, in recognition of his work to secure state funds for its construction. It has a 10,208 square foot exhibition hall, a 198 seat auditorium and a 972 square foot executive boardroom, plus catering kitchen amenities. Centrally located with easy access to major highways and ample parking, it has hosted retirement banquets, political fundraisers and association conferences with attendance numbers well over 5,000 people.
