About Expo Square
Expo Square is the Tulsa fairgrounds complex that hosts hundreds of events a year, from the Tulsa State Fair to equestrian and agricultural events and special attractions. Its fair history goes back to 1903, and the Pavilion was built in 1931 after a $500,000 bond issue. A 1966 bond issue of $3.5 million paid for the 446,400 square foot Exposition Center, which became home to the International Petroleum Exposition until the oil bust of 1980. The grounds were renamed Expo Square in the 1970s as year-round marketing of the facilities began. The SageNet Center is a clear-span building with an Upper Level and a Lower Level, and the Pavilion hosts concerts, entertainment and horse shows. The property also has the Exchange Center, Central Park Hall with a second floor mezzanine overlooking its main exhibit space, the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex, a North Arena, a grandstand complex of more than 13,000 seats and an RV park. ExpoSERVE handles food and beverage, and IT services and an event team support planners. Facility floor plans and an event calendar are published, and on-site parking was improved in the 2008 renovation. Rated 4.6 from 2,549 Google reviews, 1,791 of them five stars.
