About Pennsylvania Convention Center Philadelphia
The Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia opened in 1993 and finished an expansion in 2011. It now has more than 2 million square feet of space, including seven exhibit halls totaling 679,000 square feet, of which 528,000 square feet is contiguous. More than 82 meeting rooms, two ballrooms, a 34,960-square-foot Grand Hall built into the historic Victorian building that once served the Reading Railroad, and a 23,400-square-foot atrium overlooking the Avenue of the Arts round out the building. Freight moves through 45 loading docks, and balconies and terraces look toward City Hall and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. More than 14,000 hotel rooms are within walking distance, and the center is close to 2 subway lines, 7 Regional Rail lines and 15 bus routes. It hosts nearly 250 events a year, and floor plans, capacity charts and an upcoming events list are posted. Rated 4.5 from 8,273 Google reviews, 5,161 of them five stars.
