About Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza
Home to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Mohegan Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township, Pennsylvania, opened on November 13, 1999 as the Northeastern Pennsylvania Civic Arena. It has over 8,000 permanent seats and a capacity of nearly 10,000 for concerts, and its calendar runs from hockey and touring acts to Monster Jam, Disney On Ice, a career fair and a trunk or treat. The Luzerne County Convention Center Authority, a government body appointed by Luzerne County, owns the arena, and Legends Global manages it. Over 3,000 on-site patron parking spaces are split between VIP, reserved and general lots, with entrances off Exit 168 of Interstate 81, and nearly 100 back-of-house spaces take tour personnel, trucks, tour buses and trailers. For productions, the in-house stage reaches 80 by 48 feet, power includes an 800 amp 208v three phase service, and shows get 1 GB of in-house bandwidth with dedicated, password protected WiFi. Rated 4.4 from 4,172 Google reviews, 2,640 of them five stars.
